$UNI was a live case study last night: spot positions won easily, while contracts got hit from both sides.
CME announced it would list UNI and BCH futures. UNI first surged to 9.7, and those chasing longs rushed in seeing the good news. Then a sharp drop slammed it back to 8.7, wiping out all long positions. Everyone thought the good news was fully priced in and it was over. But after the shakeout, it directly shot up to 10.85.
So, hold onto spot, avoid contracts. If you want to make money.
