FLock.io is a decentralized AI infrastructure project built on the Base (Ethereum L2) chain, focusing on federated learning technology. Its core is decentralized AI model training, where users submit raw data to centralized servers. Uploading model updates, while protecting data privacy, users can contribute computing power and data AI model training to earn token rewards. The project provides AI task scheduling and model validation, allowing developers, data providers, and computing power providers to jointly build AI tools, emphasizing the DeAI narrative of "data belongs to the user."
The team has an academic background from Oxford University, secured funding led by DCG, received funding from the Ethereum Foundation, won NeurIPS-related awards academically, was selected for the CB Insights AI100 list, has pilot collaborations with UNDP and healthcare institutions, and is a top-tier project in the DeAI sector
Looking at global industry positioning, the two main representatives in the DeAI sector are: Bittensor focuses on model inference competition; FLOCK focuses on privacy federated learning and real-world scenario implementation, with more pilot projects in real industries, and already in the medical field.
