Saylor responds to MSCI possibly kicking Strategy out of the index: The impact is minimal, but this is bias against Bitcoin
Global index company MSCI plans to introduce new rules that may remove Bitcoin treasury company Strategy (MSTR) from its indexes.
Founder Michael Saylor told Bloomberg in an interview that this is not very important for Strategy because the amount of funds tracking these indexes is quite small.
However, he is very disappointed with MSCI's stance: "Oil, natural gas, land, and machinery are considered capital, but Bitcoin is not."
He believes this is a value judgment and a bias against digital assets. MSCI is like an unregistered financial advisor, setting a bad precedent for the entire industry, and he hopes they will reconsider.
