A blockchain can be shut down overnight, leaving its community with little say in the matter.
The Sui Foundation invested $30 million in DATA Network, on the condition that DATA retire its independent chain and migrate its tokens to Sui at a 1:1 ratio.
Honestly, this looks less like a simple investment and more like an acquisition.
DATA is transitioning from running its own blockchain to becoming part of the Sui ecosystem.
