About HSBCRaisesSpaceXTarget

HSBC raised its SpaceX price target from $117 to $150 on Sept 15. With the stock near that level, the move reads as acknowledging improved expectations rather than signaling upside. Early investor Vy Capital disclosed a $40B stake and projected SpaceX could exceed $10T within 5-7 years. Wall Street targets range from $150 to $300, reflecting public market focus on capex and earnings delivery. Is SpaceX a space and telecom company, or an AI infrastructure platform to be priced differently?

$SPCX is a good reminder that markets rarely move exactly how we expect. A stock can look overdue for a pullback, yet keep showing relative strength while the broader market struggles. That’s why positioning matters just as much as the narrative. When momentum stays strong against the market, fighting the trend can get expensive very quickly. The bigger question now is whether this strength is sustainable or simply positioning ahead of the next major macro catalyst.

This surge isn't about the token, it's about the real stock. $XSPCX This bullish candle's judgment point isn't on-chain, it's on Nasdaq. The next Starship test flight is confirmed for late September, the first attempt to send the new generation Starlink satellites into orbit—this is a test of execution, not just hype. Meanwhile, the Nasdaq 100 is about to reset its weighting, and passive funds will have to buy SpaceX according to the weights#FedFirst25BpsHikeSince23 #CryptoTaxAndBTCReserve

After $SPCX dropped, I actually started looking at it again. SPCX is now at a completely different price compared to when it just launched in June. On June 16, it reached an intraday high of $225.64, then later dropped to around $137 at its lowest, a nearly 40% pullback from the peak. I used to think SpaceX was a great company, but the stock price was too high, so I wasn’t very interested above $150. What needs attention now is the unlocking of shares.

That night SpaceX put everything on the line. December 21, 2015. Nearly 11 years later and it hits just as hard. Return to flight after a rocket failure six months earlier. First Full Thrust Falcon 9. First attempt to land an orbital-class booster on land. They had tried the droneship and failed. They had never successfully landed anything. In mission control it was a tense count. They went for it. Nine minutes later a rocket that had just thrown satellites toward orbit dropped out of the Florida dark. A camera on the back of the booster caught the engines lighting, still one of the most insane images in spaceflight. Legs out. The Falcon has landed. That was the peak of everything they had been working toward. The whole industry said it was impossible. They bet the company on that night anyway. Spaceflight has never been the same.

$SPCX — When the target price catches up, the real question is: what’s already priced in? 🚀 HSBC just raised its SpaceX target price to $150, while the current price is already around $144. At first glance, that sounds bullish. But when a target price is only a few dollars above the market, it also suggests the stock may no longer be considered cheap. SpaceX’s valuation is being built on three layers: Starlink + launch business — the core business already generating value. #DailyOrbit

A $40B stake is evidence of how far an early bet can travel, not proof of the next valuation milestone. Vy Capital's projection that SpaceX could exceed $10T within 5-7 years sets a much higher bar. My read: the key test is whether expansion into AI and orbital compute can generate earnings that justify the ambition. A long investment horizon helps, but does not settle that question. #VyCapitalSpaceX40BStake

Elon Musk says Tesla and SpaceX need their own chip manufacturing capacity if they want to keep scaling AI, robotics and autonomous cars. His argument is simple: if chip supplies from Taiwan are disrupted, the consequences could be massive. And with existing fabs already running at full capacity, Musk says there are only two options: “Either build Terafab or fail to scale.” Tesla and SpaceX are already building an R&D chip fab in Austin, with the first useful chips potentially coming by the end of next year.
