#Institutions Continue to Position, Why Does BTC Still Face Pressure?
Institutions are buying, but the price is falling; this divergence needs to be analyzed separately.
BTC dropped from 87,000 to around 83,000. On the ETF side, from October 7 to 8, there was a net outflow of $731 million; although on the 9th there was a net inflow of $21.13 million, the inflow was only 3% of the outflow from the previous two days. In other words, most of the money that left has not returned. The capital flow is bearish in the short term.
But on the other hand, institutional allocation has not stopped. Morgan Stanley's MSBT holds about 10,639 BTC, and Strive plans to continue expanding its BTC treasury through preferred stock financing. These are long-term positions, focused on value years from now, not on daily fluctuations. So institutions buying while prices fall is not contradictory; buying is slow, selling is fast, and short-term prices are driven by fast money.
Why is fast money exiting? Because of macro pressure. U.S. Treasury yields remain above 5%, energy prices stay high, and CPI data is about to be released. The market worries that if inflation doesn't drop, the Federal Reserve will continue tightening. In a high-interest-rate environment, capital prefers to wait and see until data is clear before deciding direction. BTC faces resistance near 83,000, with resistance zones from 83,500 to 84,500, and short-term support from 81,500 to 82,000; breaking below that points to 80,000.
Next, all eyes are on CPI. If core inflation is moderate and rate hike expectations cool down, combined with institutional buying and sentiment recovery, BTC has a chance to rebound and test 84,500. $BTC Sigh, staring at the screen, utterly exhausted. Even $SOL has turned against me today, only ETH is still struggling to hold on, while TRUMP continues to gnaw away at the last flesh of my account.
$ETH opened at 2495.23, current price 2499.26, long position floating profit 40.3U (+3.23%). Margin rate at 1,145%, liquidation far away at 2381. It is the only faint light in this suffocating market, yet it cannot illuminate the abyss ahead.
$SOL opened at 109.56, current price 109.23, long position turned loss of 95.99U (-5.84%). The hope from a couple of days ago has completely shattered, dragged down hard by the market. Margin rate at 853% is still safe, but it leaves a deep sense of helplessness.
$TRUMP opened at 2.7029, current price 1.8693, long position bloodily losing 833.63U, ROI -891.89%. Margin rate only 3.31%, clinging tightly to the liquidation line. The take-profit is still a dream hanging at 3.0. It’s like a bottomless pit, slowly draining everything. I don’t even have the strength to struggle anymore, can only await fate’s judgment.
A faint light can’t save the abyss, hope ultimately turns to bubbles. Holding on without stop-loss only leaves despair in the end. Tonight is destined to be sleepless again, waiting for a miracle or for the final dust to settle. #CPI与PPI公布在即,加息预期迎考验 #机构持续布局,BTC为何仍承压? #跟着OKX打卡2049 Logic: The 4H oversold rebound repair still failed to break through the strong resistance at 83500, the 15m again fell below the short-term support at 82900, the rebound is weak, and the subsequent volume situation will be observed for comprehensive judgment of $BTC $BTC 83169 failed to break higher and dropped back down
Current price is about 82850. It touched the daily EMA20 (around 83100) this morning and was pushed back. Today's high and low are 83169 / 82636, forming a shrinking volume bearish candlestick.
Daily view (bearish consolidation):
• If it can't reclaim 83100 → first target 82600, then 82280
• If 4H/daily closes below 82280 → Bollinger lower band 81700 / previous low 80400
• Only if volume increases and it holds above 83169 and closes above 83530, then consider the middle band 84100
Don't be fooled by the false breakout in the early session. What do you think about this bearish candle? 📈Midday Market Outlook for October 11📈
$ETH Strategy:
Binance Coin (二饼) breaks through 2521 with volume on the right side to chase longs, then retract stop loss.
Break below 2500 with volume on the right side to chase shorts, set stop loss properly.
Pull back to 2451 to confirm support, add one long position; stop loss if it breaks 2404.
Binance Coin holds above 2521 on the hourly level, looking upward to 2552-2606.
Watch for a short position at 2552 on the upside; stop loss if it breaks 2606.
Left side spike orders: long at 2400, stop loss at 2357.
Resistance above: 2521-2552-2606
Support below: 2500-2451-2404
On the 4-hour level, breaking below 2500 looks downward to 2451-2404.
Binance Coin has returned to trading above 2500, indicating a temporary halt in the downtrend and a rebound is underway. However, the rebound must break through the secondary high at 2521 to continue upward toward 2552-2606; failing to surpass 2521's secondary high is ineffective.
If it pulls back and breaks below 2500, it will continue to test support at 2451. The 2500 level is the key dividing line between bulls and bears for Binance Coin. Staying above 2500 increases the probability of a rebound; falling below 2500 leads to further pullback, meeting adjournment.

#CPI与PPI公布在即,加息预期迎考验 $ETH perpetual 100x short position, opened at 2614.2, now at 2500.01, floating profit +436.84%.
I've actually been watching this trade for quite a while. The 2614.2 level was repeatedly tested but never broken; there was strong resistance every time it approached this area. After confirming the top was valid, I decisively shorted on the big bearish candle. Using 100x leverage, with position size pushed to the extreme.
Currently floating profit is +436.84%, and the trailing stop has been moved up to 2614.2. Not greedy, locking in profits first, then letting the rest run.

$ETH perpetual 100x short position, opened at 2614.2, now at 2500.01, floating profit +436.84%. $BTC #CPI与PPI公布在即,加息预期迎考验 A minimum daily increase of 30% for 4 consecutive days, how many shorts does this want to kill, how many strong resistance levels have been broken, many of them. Short sellers and those trapped earlier should thank you, otherwise how would they get out of their positions Let me tell you something at noon while leaning on the table.
On October 11 last year, my friend, a real friend, not just a "my friend," had 8.8 million U explode in his account that day. The coin dropped, his position was liquidated, and he owed the exchange 17 million. He hasn't recovered in these years.
That day, the entire network liquidated 19.16 billion USD. What does that mean? The COVID crash was 1.2 billion, the FTX collapse was 1.6 billion, March 12 was 2 billion, and May 19 was only 5 billion. One day wiped out the total of all past black swan events.
Then I see $XRP is now 1.39, down 1.2% in 24h, down 6.9% in 7 days. Volume shrank, usually 30% volume, no panic selling at all, and no one is rushing to buy.
Everyone seems to have forgotten. Or rather, everyone thinks they won't be that person on that day. This is probably why one can forget 8.8 million in a year. $XRP $APR is bearish, current price 0.0755, the real pressure window has not yet opened. There are 12 days left until the cliff unlocking on October 23. We backtested large unlockings from 2024 to 2026, and underperformance against the market mainly occurs in the last 7 days before unlocking, averaging about 6%, with about three-quarters of events being negative. After unlocking, there is no stable direction. The period to watch will start in a few days. In the past 24 hours, it first dropped 30.35%. Trading volume is $100 million, with liquidations only $260,000 long and $70,000 short, a huge difference in scale. This round is driven mainly by spot holders exiting, with leveraged liquidations only a small part. The chart shows moving averages in a bearish alignment, volume increasing on declines and shrinking on rebounds, consistent with this interpretation. The rebound in the next few days will be weak; if volume can't keep up, it will continue down along the trendline. After entering the window, watch 0.0707; breaking below indicates supply expectations are accelerating realization. Conditions for a bullish reversal: in the last 7 days before unlocking, daily closes reclaiming above 0.1101, meaning the pressure has been preemptively digested by this drop. About 542 million was withdrawn in one week, with BlackRock alone bearing nearly 90% of it.
The US Ethereum spot ETF saw a net outflow of about $542.1 million in the week ending October 9, the largest single-week outflow since late January; a total net outflow of about $697.2 million over 9 consecutive trading days. BlackRock's ETHA had a weekly outflow of about $477 million, accounting for about 88% of the entire category. At the time of writing, OKX shows BTC at about 82,862 and ETH at about 2,501.
I think the real signal is: the outflow has continued for nine days straight without stopping; whether it continues to pull out next week is more important than the single-day numbers.
Do you bet that this week's outflow will stop first, or that it will continue to drop?
Keep an eye on it; when the next batch of ETF flows come out, I'll continue to analyze.

NEAR's gains expand, but why is it still worth watching the lost ground above?
Today's early spot 24-hour observation window: range 4.927—5.439 USDT, change +7.47%, trading volume about 27.06 million USDT.
The price is higher than yesterday's observed value but has not yet controlled the highest price in this window. Continuous leading and profit-taking can occur simultaneously; high elasticity still requires confirmation from the low point in the next pullback, and net gains alone cannot be tracked.
If multiple attempts to surge near 5.439 are sold back, first observe supply digestion; only if it breaks through and does not fall back below the upper half of the old range should the judgment on demand sustainability be raised. 0.09976!
Just 0.00024 short, it didn't even touch the 0.1 mark, and it chickened out on its own.
I've been staring at this number for a long time.
A coin that rose from 0.017 all the way to 0.099, nearly a fivefold increase, logically should have pushed through the integer barrier in one go.
But it stopped right here, like hitting an invisible wall, then turned around and dropped.
What is this?
This means even the whales don't dare to buy above 0.1.
That tiny gap is a psychological bait for retail investors, making you think "It’s about to break 0.1, rush in and you can still get a piece."
And the result? $CAP crashed from 0.09689 down to 0.08265, swung back and forth twice, and now is shrinking around 0.09.
Those who chased in are all stuck above 0.095.
I shorted in at 0.09031, and I’m very confident about the direction.
This short position isn’t betting on an immediate crash, but that it no longer has the strength to push through 0.1 again.
If it dares a fake breakout, I dare to add to my short.
If it continues sideways, I’ll wait for it to exhaust the buy orders on its own.

#CPI与PPI公布在即,加息预期迎考验 Having done quantitative trading for over two years, what I most want to verify is not "which strategy yields higher returns," but a more fundamental question:
Is a strategy with high returns but large drawdowns really better when combined in the same account with a strategy that is steady but modest? Or is it just recalculating the average of the two?
I reran 4.92 years of data, and the two numbers are cleaner than expected:
① They are almost "invisible" to each other — the correlation coefficient is only +0.037. The most typical example is 2023: leg A −16.6%, leg C +29.3%, while the underlying asset itself rose about 90%. In the same up year, one lost and one gained.
② On days of sharp drops, they automatically stand on opposite sides — among 259 days when the underlying dropped more than 3% in a single day, leg A averaged +1.42%, leg C averaged −0.43%, totaling +0.99%. Days when both legs lost simultaneously accounted for only 2.6%.
Limitations must be stated clearly: all backtests, no live trading; live trading only 18 trades over 25 days, insufficient to support conclusions; the 2.6% figure is based on about 4 years of samples, with a thin tail.
So now I don’t focus on correlation, but on the worst drawdown of a single leg — treating it as a tail risk issue rather than a correlation math problem. What do you think?

1. Short PONS with low leverage for long-term holding, holding onto floating profits.
2. Continue holding the losing short position on BTC.
3. Short RIVER with 5x leverage, LAB with 10x leverage.
4. Short MAGIC around the 0.010 level.

This made me hesitant to add positions at the high point
I can only wait for it to drop, at most reducing losses
My strategy still has a lot of room for optimization
For example, I need to control my impulses
Don't add positions when it's not the right time
Because if you add and the market moves in the opposite direction, you'll be in a very passive position

Previously, this tool might have automatically enabled Tor (the onion network, a network that hides your real IP and makes access more private) for you by default, or you could use it without worrying about it. But starting from the next update, the rules have changed: the system will no longer "secretly" enable Tor for you, but will give you the choice yourself.
In other words, if you usually log in and manage your BTCPay backend using the .onion hidden address (for example, to avoid being tracked or to protect your privacy), you must manually check the "Enable Tor" option in the settings before the update. If you forget to check it or never selected it, after the update your original Onion address will no longer be accessible, effectively cutting off this private access route.
To put it simply: previously, your back door (Tor channel) was always slightly open, so you could use it anytime; now the landlord says, "After the next renovation, the back door will be locked by default, and if you want to use it, you have to notify me in advance." If you don't say anything, after the renovation you can only use the front door (normal IP access).
So, this message is a reminder to Docker users: quickly check your settings, don't wait until after the update to regret not being able to access it. If you don't use the Onion network at all, it doesn't matter; but if you rely on it, this is a must-do "key point before the exam". $BTC $ETH $ZEC This year, some exchanges have successively delisted the CORE/USDT trading pair (including CoinEx's announcement on September 11, 2026, with trading closing on September 18), drawing close attention from token holders. 👉🏻Information Summary ★Exchanges delisting spot trading Phemex Spot: Delisted CORE/USDT at 10:00 UTC on July 3, 2026, with deposits and withdrawals closed simultaneously. Focus on the coins you believe in, keep an eye on them, and seize the right opportunity to bet in. Without betting, where will the opportunity come from? Frequently switching between various coins is more likely to cause losses, turning success into something that smells like nonsense, and failure means starting over. Respect yourself, keep going, young warriors.BTC barely moved around 830, ETH quietly returned above 2500, SOL at 110, consolidating for three days. For the first time, Ethereum showed a bit more strength than Bitcoin during this consolidation. This detail is worth mentioning. In the previous sharp drop, Bitcoin fell by six to seven percent, ETH and SOL dropped by nine to ten percent, and weaker coins were crushed even more. During these three days of consolidation, we can see that funds haven't left the market; they are just shifting slightly within core assets. While Bitcoin was resting, some capital supported ETH. This indicates that the underlying market sentiment is risk-averse but not retreating; the chips remain in play, waiting for a direction. Now about the weekend. After the U.S. stock market closes tonight, traditional markets will be closed for the next two days, and liquidity in the crypto space will noticeably thin out. When the market is quiet, the price action is most deceptive. A relatively small amount of capital can cause Bitcoin to spike or dip by several hundred dollars, faking a breakout above 835 or poking down again at 810. This is not surprising but mostly a false move caused by liquidity drying up, not representing the true directional choice. So the weekend principle is clear: don't chase sudden rallies, don't panic at sudden dumps, wait for Monday when U.S. stocks reopen and volume picks up; then the truth will reveal itself. Continue to follow your discipline in trading: hold your spot positions firmly, do not cancel orders near the second buying level around 80,000 unless volume shrinks and stabilizes with visible support, and keep the third buying level at 78,000 intact. Consolidation days are indeed boring, but looking back, before every major market move, the market uses boredom to weed out the impatient. Strategy-wise, lightly short near 0.10395 with a stop loss at 0.10715 and a target of 0.09725; if it pulls back to 0.09875 without breaking, a short-term long position is possible with a stop loss at 0.09685 and a target of 0.10485. Do you think this rebound is a reversal signal or a bull trap after short covering? #CPI与PPI公布在即,加息预期迎考验 Every mid-month, OKX Square is full of people posting financial calendars. When data is released at 8:30 PM, the Bitcoin market often plunges or spikes by hundreds or thousands of points within a minute, causing both longs and shorts to get liquidated. Many people only watch the spectacle without even understanding what these two English abbreviations stand for, and end up getting stopped out by sudden spikes. Spend three minutes to fully understand these two terms, and you won’t have to rely on others’ reactions when reading macroeconomic news in the future. 🚩What exactly do these two indicators measure? CPI stands for Consumer Price Index, reflecting the everyday living expenses of ordinary people like buying groceries, fueling up, and paying rent. PPI stands for Producer Price Index, reflecting the wholesale costs of factories purchasing steel, oil, and finished goods. To put it simply: imagine the entire economy as a bubble tea shop. PPI is the wholesale price the shop owner pays for tea leaves, fresh milk, and paper cups. CPI is the price you see on the menu for a cup of bubble tea. If upstream raw materials keep rising in price (PPI goes up), the owner will grit their teeth and endure for a while but will eventually pass the costs onto customers, causing the bubble tea price at the front counter to rise (pushing up subsequent CPI). Conversely, if raw material prices keep falling (PPI continuously declines), the pressure to raise retail prices at the front counter will significantly ease. The Federal Reserve officials who manage monetary policy look at whether the bubble tea at the front counter is expensive or not to decide whether to inject liquidity or tighten it. If prices rise too aggressively, they have to keep bank interest rates high and withdraw dollars from the market; if prices cool down, they can safely lower rates.Institutions continue to position themselves, so why does BTC still face pressure? This sentiment also extends to MMT, with funds on the sidelines causing short-term pressure, but the structure remains intact. I tend to view this as a pullback to accumulate momentum rather than a bearish reversal.
Current price is 0.1782, down 1.3% in 24h, with a high of 0.1846 and a low of 0.1778. The trading volume is only 381,000, showing weak momentum. Both the 1-hour and 4-hour trends are upward; the short-term price has pulled back 2.52% from the 1-hour high, and there is still 6.96% room from the 4-hour low. The order book's top 10 levels show 20,000 buy orders against 17,000 sell orders, with a ratio of 1.14, slightly favoring buyers; the funding rate is 0.0050%, open interest is 8,495,000, sentiment is mild, and no overcrowding is observed.
In terms of operation, lightly add long positions on a pullback to 0.1773, with a stop loss at 0.1739 and a target of 0.1841; if volume breaks through 0.1849, increase positions aiming for 0.1903. Keep position size within 20%, and do not add if stop loss is hit.

On OKX, BTC turnover is at $83,040.6, with the funding rate at -0.0024%. This year, there have been 10 days of triple standard deviation moves. If you hold positions, be cautious of sudden intraday spikes. This morning, I switched to the data page to review CoinDesk's recap. There have been 10 extreme days with single-day volatility reaching triple standard deviation this year, directly exceeding the 8 days in all of 2018. Bitcoin's annualized volatility has dropped from 84% that year to 46%, and the average amplitude on abnormal days has narrowed from 10% to 7%, but these short-term spikes are coming more frequently than in previous years.
This morning, I checked the OKX contracts page. The total open interest for perpetual contracts across the platform stands at $7.771 billion, with BTC accounting for $3.08 billion, altcoin contracts at $2.952 billion, and the altcoin-to-BTC open interest ratio at 0.959. Switching to the BTC perpetual page, the funding rate is at -0.0024%, indicating shorts are subsidizing longs, with an annualized negative rate of around -0.0024%. On-exchange funds are not piling on leverage. The fear and greed index is steady at 61 (greedy). The biggest current market dilemma is whether inflation will rebound again, directly rewriting the Fed's year-end interest rate pricing.
PPI reflects prices at the upstream factory level, while CPI reflects prices for end consumers. PPI typically lags and transmits to CPI by 2 to 3 months. These two data points, released sequentially, serve as the core test to determine whether "inflation is a sticky rebound," directly disproving or confirming the current CME interest rate futures' rate hike pricing.
1. Current Market Baseline Expectations
The market has already pre-traded a baseline scenario:
Interest rates will remain unchanged in October, with most rate hike bets pushed to December. The current market pricing shows a very low probability of a rate hike in October. The vast majority of traders assume that unless there is an "explosively surprising" inflation report, the Fed will not act in October and will continue to wait and see.
However, with recent rises in crude oil and energy prices, the biggest risk emerges: energy price increases can easily push PPI higher first, then after some time permeate into services and transportation, pulling core CPI back up. Once inflation rebounds, this narrative of "delaying until December" will be instantly overturned. 暴跌之后我盯着盘面看了很久,这次反弹的质感确实不太一样 🌙 你猜这次是真的修复,还是杠杆资金又一次漂亮的诱多? #俄罗斯放宽柴油出口,霍尔木兹风险仍支撑油价 $SOL 800 million USDC less in seven days, I've watched this twice carefully.
First, to be clear: Circle issued 9.7 billion this week and redeemed 10.5 billion. More went out than came in.
What is USDC? It's the most reliable money in the circle. Those playing contracts, doing lending, or waiting for large transfers basically all use it.
So its shrinkage doesn't mean the coin price will fall. But it does indicate one thing: someone exchanged stablecoins back to dollars and stopped playing.
I guess two types of people. One who earned enough and withdrew first, and one who thinks the interest outside is more attractive.
You ask if this is bearish? I don't think so. An 8 billion drop from a 73 billion pool is just a sprinkle.
But the direction is worth noting. Money is flowing out of the circle, not in.
From now on, I'll watch one number: whether USDC continues to shrink next week. If it keeps shrinking, then it's no coincidence.

#贝森特拟查扣10亿美元伊朗相关加密资产 #OKX以250亿美元估值完成战略融资 $BTC $STRK rose about 90% in one week, then another 40% in 24 hours, reaching a market cap of $768 million, entering the top 100 by market cap for the first time in a year. Interestingly, right after the surge, it announced: it wants to become an independent layer, fully quantum-resistant by 2027.
The logic is simple — layer 2 security inherits from Ethereum; the base layer is not quantum-resistant, so no matter how hard layer 2 tries, it’s in vain. Ethereum plans to complete its quantum upgrade by December 2029. Starknet proves that based on hashing and account abstraction, it can avoid hard forks to change signature algorithms, seizing this window.
So this 90% gain isn’t for the technology itself, but for the pricing power of buying time. The cost is running its own validators and consensus, with the bill only spreading out before 2027. Do you think this is a real demand or just storytelling again?
$STRK"Market Weaving, I'm Stepping Out"
Weekend mornings should be for sleeping in and enjoying hot soy milk. But my hands woke up first, reaching for my phone to check the market. The screen looked like a pool of still water.
BTC hovered below 83,000, last night's 83,129 felt like an unfulfilled dream, touching it only to retreat immediately. That red floating loss marker pinned on the chart was more alerting than an alarm clock. It neither surged nor dropped sharply, just stitched back and forth within a few dozen points, grinding patience to dust.
Ethereum was even more sigh-worthy. It couldn't hold 2,518, 2,500 became a threshold, and the pending take-profit orders felt like self-imposed shackles. Long positions weren't just positions, they were sentences—slow to rise, quick to fall.
Dogecoin couldn't even hold 0.086; without any calls to buy, it was like a deflated balloon, falling but not rising. Looking at it, even complaining felt like a waste of energy.
Suddenly, I felt the weekend shouldn't be chewed up by these numbers. So I closed the app, stuffed my phone into my pocket, and stepped outside. The wind was more real than the candlesticks, and the sunlight charged no fees. Let the market weave its fabric; today, I'll give myself back to myself.

#机构持续布局,BTC为何仍承压? Don't immediately call the "positive news landing" the grand finale just because you see a merger.
According to BlockBeats, AERO and VELO both surged over 16% due to merger news. Aerodrome is the top DEX on Base, Velodrome is the main DEX on Optimism, and both belong to the same ve(3,3) team and governance system. This merger integrates liquidity and incentives scattered across two L2s into a unified framework.
Observation 1: If the merger terms are friendly to original holders and locked volume rises synchronously, market focus will shift from news sentiment to subsequent follow-up.
Observation 2: If details like exchange ratio, total token supply, unlocking schedule, original ve position conversion, and governance dilution fall short of expectations, the short-term pulse will quickly retrace.
Would you rather wait to see the terms disclosed before judging, or treat this 16% surge as a sentiment rehearsal first? #Ledger confirmed that a device involved was subject to hardware implantation, raising questions about wallet security trust again. The short-term sentiment for ETH is cautious; I tend to continue viewing it as oscillating with a weak bias. The trading volume of 6.37 million is somewhat bearish, with the top 10 bid-ask ratio at 0.78 favoring sellers. $SLX#Ledger confirmed that one involved device was subject to hardware implantation
#Ledger confirmed that one involved device was subject to hardware implantation $SLX 83,200 Today is the real test; if it can't hold this rebound, it's all for nothing. Last night the low was 80,400, exactly hitting the number I mentioned: "If it can't hold 82,500, look for 80,000." Then it rebounded, this morning at 83,000, just a breath away from the unbroken 83,200. The first half of the script matched. Three overnight events: BTC +0.4% rebound, ETH +0.6% standing above 2500 (the hottest topic across the network today), SOL +0.4% hovering around 110. Fees for BTC and ETH slightly turned negative; shorts are still paying but not much, indicating that after half a day of rebound, shorts haven't admitted defeat—either a short squeeze will push it further up, or bulls will be pushed back down; these are usually the two outcomes. Open Interest of 30,000 BTC hasn't moved much; everyone is waiting for direction. Today, only one thing matters: can BTC hold above 83,200? If it holds, the next stop is 84,500; if it falls below 82,500, this rebound is just a one-day trip, and I judge it invalid, with tonight's night session to reconcile. What do you think, can 83,200 hold today? $BTC intraday volatility narrowed to the 82596–83166 range, with a weekly decline of 4.2% compared to one week ago. From the moving average structure, the price is squeezed between the daily MA20 (84219) and MA50 (80946), with the long-term MA200 at 72013. The medium-term bullish pattern remains, but short-term moving averages have formed resistance, and the RSI at 51.2 is in a neutral zone. On the derivatives side, the perpetual funding rate is slightly negative (-0.005%), and open interest has slightly rebounded after falling from the October 7 peak, indicating that this round of decline was mainly completed by long deleveraging, and short sellers are not aggressively chasing prices. Spot ETF funds remain the main drag, with a total net outflow of about $679 million this week, only slightly turning positive on October 9. I hold a neutral view on the short-term direction: if the daily chart stabilizes above 84200, it is considered a recovery, and attention can be paid to around 86700; if it closes below 80400, the adjustment level expands, with the next reference point being the 30-day low of 74965. Current price 82774.2, up only 0.2% in 24 hours, highest 83129.8, lowest 82574.9, turnover only 1.788 million, low volume sideways trading shows bulls dare not chase. 1-hour and 4-hour trends both downward, falling 1.85% and 4.29% respectively from the highs, with the 4-hour structure weaker. Funding rate -0.0004% shows bears slightly dominant, open interest of 30,000 coin-margined contracts is not high, but order book top 10 buy/sell ratio is 1.77, short-term buy orders dominate, prone to a bull trap rebound followed by a drop.
Discipline: do not chase longs. Light short positions near 83085 on rebound, stop loss at 83420, target 81865, take profit in batches when reached; if a sharp drop to 81640 occurs and buy/sell ratio remains above 1.5, short-term longs can be taken, stop loss 81280, target 82520. In Ajian's view, this is a typical strong altcoin structure: long-term data improvement, short-term price increase, and turnover between new and old holders. Therefore, an increase in TVL but a price drop does not necessarily mean the token's fundamentals have worsened, because SUI's on-chain data and ecosystem narrative are indeed strengthening. It can only be said that the price has already reflected a considerable part of the expectations in advance. Next, it is recommended to observe the support around $1, DeFi revenue, stablecoin supply, and funding rates Closing a short position is not bearish; it means buying back the short order.
On the evening of September 21, a trade worth 8.57 million was executed.
The direction was a buy, but the target was $BTC perpetual contracts.
Where did this money come from:
It was buying to close a short, not opening a long.
Previously, someone borrowed coins at a high price to sell, now buying back to repay.

How is this number calculated:
Closing a short requires buying, and buying counts as a long direction trade.
