#奈飞增长或放缓,广告业务成新看点 Netflix's earnings report is coming soon, can advertising save the day?
Netflix will release its Q3 earnings after the market closes on October 20, and this report is quite critical. After all, the stock price has dropped significantly this year, and the market is watching closely to see if there will be any surprises.
First, the basics: the company expects Q3 revenue to be about $12.86 billion, up roughly 12% year-over-year, with an operating margin of 33.2%, slightly better than the same period last year. The numbers look okay, but growth has definitely slowed down and is not as strong as before.
So where's the new story? Advertising business.
Currently, Netflix's ad-supported plan has reached 250 million monthly active users globally, and ad sales in the U.S. have nearly doubled. The advertising revenue target for next year is set at $3 billion. It sounds impressive, but honestly, advertising only accounts for about 6% of total revenue right now and can't carry the business yet.
What Wall Street really cares about is whether the ad inventory is fully filled and how CPM prices are trending. These are the key factors to determine if the advertising business can really take off.
Netflix's forward P/E ratio has dropped to around 21 times, and the market worries about slowing growth in the core business and the new business not yet picking up. So whether this rebound is a real recovery or just a false alarm will be revealed on October 20.
In short: if the earnings report shows good advertising data and the full-year guidance holds steady, Netflix can still tell a story; if the performance is mediocre, the market will likely continue to struggle.$PONS continue holding; the overall trend is still bearish. Small positions, low leverage for trading, more margin.
Long-short ratio: Retail and large holders are all stubbornly holding long positions.
Binance retail long-short ratio is 1.5082, OKX retail long-short ratio is 1.72.
For large holders: the number of large holders long-short ratio is 2.0066, and the large holders' position long-short ratio is as high as 2.2443.
Project fundamentals and on-chain data: Market makers are frantically depositing to exchanges (a major selling pressure signal!).
PONS is the leading Launchpad on Robinhood Chain, with 80% of protocol fees used for buyback and burn, and it is already 100% fully circulating.
But according to Arkham on-chain data, the past 7 days of entity balance changes released an extremely clear selling pressure signal: Wintermute balance surged 108.21%,
Kraken increased 71.11%,
CoinSpot increased 75.21%,
LBank increased 22.66%.
Market makers are moving a large amount of chips to exchanges, combined with frequent exchange deposit actions, short-term selling pressure is extremely heavy.
$BTC $ZEC #美国CPI超预期升至3.7%,今晚PPI再迎考验 The overall market is still paying back CPI, but RSR has been rallying for the third consecutive day. How many more bites can Upbit take from this bowl?
Bitcoin is hovering around 81,000, ETH has dropped 2.7%, yet RSR (Reserve Rights) is bucking the trend with a +10% surge to 0.00218, making it the most eye-catching gainer on the leaderboard aside from ZK.
But to be clear, this isn’t a new story today. The real trigger was on October 12 when Upbit opened KRW and USDT trading pairs for it. Korean retail investors rushed in, pushing the price up by 50 to 60 points in a single candle that day; combined with the September community vote that changed the performance unlocking to include burning, creating expectations of supply contraction. Today’s +10% feels more like a rebound on the third day after listing. I didn’t find any new positive news.
My judgment: The first bite of meat on a new exchange listing is the most delicious. Chasing on the third day usually just props up the first two batches. OKX’s 24-hour trading volume is only a bit over 1.4 million USDT; the main battlefield is actually the Upbit KRW market. OKX is just a thin market following the trend. RSI is already at 67, price hugging the upper Bollinger Band. It’s easy to pump and easy to dump, with slippage and spikes that can bite.
Watch two signals: whether it can break and hold above the previous high of 0.0022 with volume on the Korean market intact; once Korean won buying power fades and volume shrinks on the rally, it’s basically a short-term profit-taking window. DYOR, not investment advice.
#RSR #stablecoin #UpbitNetflix's earnings report tonight, the market hype focuses on: advertising business growth + new subscriber recovery.
But streaming has historically seen gains easily fade; focusing only on revenue can be misleading. Tonight's key points to watch:
New paid subscribers, operating margin, Q4 guidance
Positive logic: continued penetration of ad plans, monetization of account sharing, overall cash flow improvement.
Hidden risks: high content costs, competition siphoning users, lack of hit shows causing subscriber weakness.
Market consensus expectations
Revenue ≈ 12.9 billion, EPS ≈ 0.82, net margin 32%, new subscribers ≈ 4.5 million
Three earnings scenarios
Neutral (highest probability)
Data basically meets expectations, Q4 guidance is conservative.
Market: slight gap up with fluctuations, mainly rising then falling.
Action: no chasing highs, reduce positions on rallies, no new longs.
Better than expected (positive)
Subscribers, margins, and ad revenue all beat expectations, Q4 guidance raised.
Market: after-hours surge.
Action: no chasing gains, wait for next-day stabilization before reassessing.
Below expectations (negative)
New subscribers weak, margin declines, Q4 guidance lowered.
Market: rapid plunge.
Action: avoid long positions, no bottom fishing.
Key implicit observation points
1. Whether advertising ARPU is shrinking (inflated subscribers is a hidden negative)
2. Whether free cash flow is under pressure
3. Q4 guidance determines mid-term trend
Netflix earnings are highly volatile; avoid heavy pre-positioning to bet on the outcome. #奈飞增长或放缓,广告业务成新看点 Just now: Uniswap launched the VolatilePair dynamic fee Hook on the Ethereum mainnet, with the first supported trading pair being ETH/USDC. Such moves usually do not affect the price of $UNI, but Ajian knows that many new LPs have recently joined, so he especially reminds everyone that although dynamic fees have the potential to improve LP efficiency, the parameter design and governance permissions will also become more complex.
Most traders providing liquidity may not use dynamic fees, but since Uniswap v4 has started to more proactively link AMM fees, price deviation, and LP earnings together, if you want to go further, you should actively understand the fee formula, impermanent loss, governance permissions, and handling of extreme market conditions.Three numbers, don't rush to take them at face value
When I see "$INJ" and "buyback," I first ask, who is submitting the tokens, and who is taking the income?
Its community buyback allows participants to submit INJ and receive ecosystem income proportionally, and the submitted INJ is then burned.
So ordinary holders don't automatically receive this income just by holding the tokens.
I'm more concerned about where the income in each round comes from and how long it can last. The mechanism links income to the token, but how strong that link is depends on the actual scale; you can't just raise expectations based on the word "buyback."
For "$APT," pay attention to what the staking amount means.
According to the official token description, both locked and unlocked tokens can participate in staking.
This means a high staking rate doesn't necessarily mean buyers in the circulating market are actively reducing sales.
I separate the study of lockup arrangements and staking situations. Otherwise, confusing the two as supply tightening can lead to overestimating its effect.
For "$SHIB," I think the burn increase especially needs to be viewed relative to the base.
If very little was burned the day before, and the next day it increases several times, the percentage looks impressive, but the proportion of total supply might still be very small.
Therefore, I first look at the actual burn quantity, then the duration.
A one-time large increase can spark discussion; a continuous reduction in supply over several months is more suitable for judging long-term impact. The numbers are lively, but the meaning still needs to be calculated by yourself. Lost $12 million in 7 days, account left with only $150,000, Maji is back to square one

After last night's CPI release, the dollar surged, risk assets first fell, altcoins didn't catch on, who followed this wave?
Looking at the market, selling pressure above 20.1 was already heavy, CPI became the catalyst for shorts, the rebound lacked volume, no one supported the rally, it was a fake push. Now breaking below 11, short-term support near 10.39, short sellers' profit-taking is likely to be covered.
If you have positions, lock in 50%-70% profits first, move stop-loss to cost area for the rest, if broken, look lower; don't act impulsively off-market, wait for a rebound to confirm resistance before moving, don't enter without a plan.
If volume picks up and price recovers above 20.1, admit the mistake; if it can't hold, continue to test the bottom. CPI aftershocks are still ongoing, wait for the signal before acting, taking profits is better than fantasizing. #美国CPI超预期升至3.7%,今晚PPI再迎考验 #台积电Q3营收创新高,盈利表现待揭晓 Oli.2 days ago
TSMC's revenue record was already known to the market before October 15. Treating the same fact as a sudden positive surprise on the earnings day might be a step behind the rhythm.
The company announced on October 8 that September revenue increased by 54.6% year-on-year but decreased by 0.6% month-on-month. This contrast is quite interesting: strong long-term growth does not mean every month is higher than the previous one. Small monthly fluctuations are also insufficient to conclude the overall AI demand.
After the monthly revenue was disclosed in advance, the focus of the earnings report should shift forward. How the next quarter's orders are arranged, which demands can be sustained, and whether customers pull orders ahead are more informative than repeating the already public total revenue.
In the conference call, I especially want to hear about the timing distribution of orders. If customers place orders early to lock in supply, and the subsequent demand expands in sync with actual usage, the implications for the next few quarters are different. It is not yet clear which situation applies. This question is worth keeping.
Being optimistic about TSMC does not mean expecting only good news at every step. Strong companies also face changes in order rhythms. What really makes me cautious is that people increasingly need bigger growth numbers to be satisfied, yet no one asks what can still exceed expectations next quarter. For this earnings report, I want to hear more about follow-up arrangements and less about celebrating the existing records. Historically, during this period, it dropped 45%
The 2018 midterm election was on November 6th, and on that day $BTC barely moved around 6400
The real crash happened a week after the election, from November 14th to 16th, when BTC plunged from 6400 to 5544, then continued to decline slowly, hitting a low of 3201 USD within a month, a retracement of about 45.5% from election day
At that time, the hash rate war between Bitmain's Wu Jihan and Craig Wright crushed the entire market sentiment, coupled with the Federal Reserve being in a rate hike cycle, liquidity kept tightening, and these two factors combined led to a chain liquidation of leveraged longs
Will this repeat?
Highly unlikely, the structure is different now
In 2018, the market was almost all retail and leverage; now $BTC spot ETFs and publicly listed companies collectively hold over 2.57 million BTC, with institutions supporting the bottom, making the threshold for a deep crash much higher than back then
However, polls show the Democrats are very likely to take the House, and Sean Casten, who is tough on crypto, may chair the Financial Services Committee; crypto companies linked to the Trump family will be key investigation targets
The rise in policy uncertainty is a variable worth watching more than the election results themselves
Long positions were hit last night; if 80,000 is not broken, a rebound is still expected
#BTC现货ETF再度净流出,机构买盘能否回暖? At 1:30 PM, the market continues to fall. After last night's CPI, I said to wait until the spike is over before taking action. Now it seems the spike is still halfway up the mountain.
$BTC fell below 82,000, hitting a low of 80,168, now around 81,050. $ETH is weaker, dropping from 2,537 straight down to 2,315, now at 2,359. $SOL also fell below 105, bottoming at 100.46, now at 102.2.
The long-short ratio is the most critical: SOL is now 2.68, ETH 2.66, BTC 1.88; the bulls are still very crowded. Funding rates remain negative, the cost for bulls holding positions is getting higher and higher. The price has dropped so much, yet the bulls haven't fully exited, which itself is a risk.
Open interest is also decreasing: BTC dropped from 2.58 billion to 2.4 billion, ETH from 1.5 billion to 1.35 billion, SOL from 337 million to 309 million. Although there was some intraday rebound, overall positions are being reduced. On active trading volume, selling has consistently outweighed buying.
I still have no positions and don't plan to catch the fall at this level. I'll wait until this stampede truly ends and the market consolidates with lower volume before considering small position trial trades.
Remember these key support levels below: BTC 80,000, if lost then look at 78,000; ETH 2,300, if lost then look at 2,200; SOL 100, if lost then look at 95.

#ETH触及2500美元后震荡 #TSMCOct15Earnings After the preliminary disclosure of monthly revenues, the focus points in the financial report should shift forward. How orders will be arranged for the next quarter, which orders can continue, and whether customers have pre-ordered, are all information more valuable than repeating the total amounts already announced.
In the conference call, I would especially like to hear the distribution of order timings. If customers have pre-ordered to secure supplies, and this coincides with an increase in actual demand, it will have a different meaning for the upcoming quarters. The most easily misjudged aspect of this downturn is thinking that "after a drop, it's time for altcoins to catch up." But have you noticed that when ETH weakens, many small-cap coins don't even bother to rebound? My own position isn't large, so I can still hold through this pullback, but when I see $ETH going down, my heart still skips a beat. Those with large positions standing at the peak probably feel even colder. The same goes for $BTC — it looks stable on the surface, but internally it's not easy. What concerns me more isn't how much it has dropped, but that the sector strength has already changed. The heat around $STRK has clearly cooled; it no longer has that sharp momentum to soar with a single surge. TSMC's Q3 revenue hit a record high, but profits haven't been announced yet; US September CPI year-over-year is 3.7%, with core inflation exceeding expectations; Netflix growth may slow, and its advertising business has become a new focus. These traditional market signals are quietly influencing crypto risk appetite. The bullish logic is: if CPI doesn't continue to spiral out of control and BTC can hold steady, funds might flow back into ETH and quality altcoins, especially those with real narratives and ecosystem support. The bearish risk is: core inflation exceeding expectations will push back rate cut expectations, strengthen the dollar, pressure risk assets, and make altcoins more likely to lose attention. What the market is trading now isn't just whether rates will be cut, but "who can remain strong under high pressure." Sector strength matters more than index rises or falls. The cooling of $STRK's heat indicates short-term funds are contracting, not expanding. ETH is weak, BTC is stable, altcoins are diverging, #TSMCOct15Earnings
Q3 revenue is old news. The real focus is Q4 guidance and rising capex.
The market wants to see stronger growth, not just numbers that meet expectations. If guidance comes in line while spending keeps rising, investors may see it as a disappointment.
Sometimes, meeting expectations isn’t enough.CoreWeave's backlog exceeded $100B, yet its 2032 bond yield briefly topping 15% shows investors are discounting the path from contracted demand to cash generation. With roughly $52.1B in debt and lease liabilities, data-center delivery now matters as much as order growth. Inflation and weaker tech sentiment may keep that funding test unforgiving.
#CoreWeaveStockBondDrop People feel refreshed when good things happen, very refreshed.
This wave of ZEC, bought at 1422 and got 1101, with an unrealized profit of 677%.
But what really makes me happy is not the numbers, but how the market is gradually realizing all the negative news one by one.
Grayscale Zcash ETF (ZCSH) had a net outflow of $5.19 million yesterday alone, bleeding for two consecutive trading days, with net outflows second only to BTC and SOL in the entire market.
Institutions are pulling out real money, while retail investors are still waiting for a rebound.
The NU7 mainnet upgrade won't go live until at earliest November 5, and the decision to deploy will only be made on October 20; the positive news was already fully priced in by the sharp rise in September.
The most ironic thing is that a whale built a position at 425 two months ago and dumped all 25,001 ZEC a few days ago, making a profit of 27 million without looking back.
From a technical perspective, the 4-hour EMA5, 10, and 20 are all diverging downward, with the price tightly suppressed by the moving averages, and each rebound peak visibly lower.
I never advise anyone to copy trades, just laying out the facts here. Support is first at 1080, and if broken, then 1000.

This time, 3 new addresses entered the top 40, with one opening a new position by buying. Three addresses dropped out of the top 40 and reduced their positions, one nearly liquidated, and two reduced slightly. Total sell-off is about 3 million tokens. No one in the top 40 increased positions, 4 reduced positions totaling about 3 million tokens. Binance alpha exchange saw an inflow of 11 million tokens. Overall market fluctuation is very small. The token price has risen about 15% since the last statistics. On-chain data shows a total sell-off of about 6 million tokens, purchases of about 1 million tokens, but the token price rose. So the question is, who bought the extra 5 million tokens and even pushed the price up 15%? Although an address suspected to be bg bought 4 million tokens, it cannot absorb the sell-off and push the price up alone. So the single-kill speculation is that a user within a certain exchange is buying, but it cannot be confirmed which one yet.#US September CPI rises to 3.7%
[Old Leek Observation] The US CPI has risen to 3.7%, and what Bitcoin will face next is a renewed warming of interest rate expectations.
In September, the overall US CPI rose 3.7% year-on-year, higher than last month's 3.4%; month-on-month it increased by 0.6%. Core CPI rose 2.6% year-on-year, with a 0.3% month-on-month increase. This data indicates that inflationary pressure is rising again, but it should also be noted that gasoline prices rose 9.1% in a single month, which is an important reason for the overall inflation increase this round.
Why does the crypto community need to watch this report? If inflation continues to exceed expectations, the Federal Reserve will find it harder to easily pivot to rate cuts and may even reconsider rate hikes. Rising interest rate expectations usually put pressure on risk assets like BTC and ETH.
However, I don't think a CPI rise to 3.7% necessarily means Bitcoin must fall. The key lies in how much rate hike expectations the market has already priced in, and how US Treasury yields and the dollar react next.
I will be watching two signals next:
First, whether US Treasury yields continue to rise; second, whether BTC can hold recent support during declines and reclaim key resistance levels during rebounds.
If the dollar and yields continue to strengthen, BTC's rebounds may face more selling pressure; if the market has already priced in the inflation downside, prices may stabilize, indicating that funds may have already traded the worst expectations in advance. $BTC $ETH $ZEC #NetflixQ3AdsAndMargins [ANALYSIS] Netflix Q3 Financial Picture: The Balancing Act Between the Advertising Segment and Operating Margin 📈🍿
The market is focusing on Netflix's Q3 earnings report, where two core factors—the Advertising Segment (Ads) and Operating Margins—continue to be the guiding principles shaping the company's value.
Here are 3 strategic highlights you can't miss around the hashtag #NetflixQ3AdsAndMargins:As shown in the chart, this is the recent 4-hour structure of ETH, spanning about twenty days.
The previous rebound peak stopped at 2,579, stuck between EMA55 and EMA200, unable to advance further. After that, the rhythm changed: the highs moved from 2,579 to 2,538, then 2,530, each lower than the last — a stepwise decline in highs is the most direct evidence of a downtrend structure.
The previous two pullbacks both found support and stopped falling around 2,406-2,409, forming a double bottom. The market once thought this level was stable. But today, a large-volume long bearish candle pierced through the double bottom, hitting a near one-month low at 2,318, followed only by a slight rebound.
The cycles are layered. On the 4-hour chart, EMA20, EMA55, and EMA200 are all above the price, forming a complete bearish alignment; on the daily chart, since that long upper shadow candle, the trend has continuously weakened, with the broader background also turning bearish. When both cycles align in direction, trading against the smaller cycle only causes trouble.
My bias: after the breakdown, follow the bearish momentum.
Trigger conditions: a rebound to 2,406-2,409 (previous double bottom, which turns from support to resistance after breaking) or pressure and pullback around EMA20 at about 2,469, is considered confirmation of a valid breakdown and continuation of the trend.
Stop loss: if the 4-hour close moves back above around 2,530 (the recent two highs), this bearish bias is invalidated.
Targets: first watch if the 2,318 low can continue downward; below that is the 2,300 round number, then around 2,221 — the starting point of this rally.
Why this view: the breakdown was on high volume, with two long bearish candles last night and this morning showing obvious volume increase; lower highs, double bottom broken, bearish moving average alignment, and daily chart weakening all point in the same direction.
Risks: today’s volume-driven sell-off may lead to a short-term oversold rebound; a rebound confirmation is common after a double bottom break, and only a rebound failing at resistance counts. Also, the current ATR is about 2%, so stop loss distance should be based on volatility, not fixed points applied to all assets.
Judgment can wait for confirmation, but position sizing cannot. The idea of sizing by loss means first knowing where to admit being wrong, then considering how far the move can go if right. #美国CPI超预期升至3.7%,今晚PPI再迎考验 KOSPI drops over 8% in one morning: Not a “correction,” but Korean assets hit simultaneously by “AI faith + presidential crisis + foreign capital withdrawal” triple blow
The Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) extended its decline to 8%, at one point falling over 8.5% intraday to hit its lowest level since 2025. The Korean won weakened in tandem, and the three-year government bond yield surged — this is not ordinary “profit-taking,” but a systemic tremor caused by semiconductor weight, political risk, and leveraged funds stampeding all at once.
Three forces squeezing together:
AI chain coalition breaks up: Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix account for nearly 30% of KOSPI’s weight. The U.S. semiconductor index has fallen six consecutive times, and HBM valuations are questioned with “whether customers borrowing to buy GPUs is worthwhile,” causing the narrative of Korea as the “global AI memory supplier” to crack first; Samsung is caught between HBM lagging, foundry yield issues, and storage cycle peaking. When the leader shudders, the index falls first.
Blue House drama returns: President Lee Jae-myung faces a pincer attack from opposition parties with “special investigations + impeachment,” and the justice minister turmoil remains unresolved. The market fears a “policy vacuum + chaebol regulation rollback.” Foreign capital hates uncertainty most, selling first and asking questions later.
Leveraged positions self-destruct: Korean retail investors, the “ant army,” heavily hold semiconductor ETFs on margin accounts, reversing to full positions and catching the falling knife. The 8% drop triggered margin calls → forced liquidations → further declines, almost the same script as the “9% intraday drop and circuit breaker” on August 8, 2024. ETH's liquidation volume today has surpassed BTC, becoming the hardest hit in leverage.
What happened? Over the past 24 hours, the total market liquidation exceeded $1 billion, with ETH liquidations around $360 million, less than BTC's $480 million, but the long position ratio is alarming—ETH long liquidations reached $146 million, while shorts were only $83.73 million, meaning those going long were wiped out the worst. The largest single liquidation occurred on Binance ETHUSDT, valued at $11.99 million.
Why is this noteworthy? This is not an ordinary pullback. ETH dropped 9.8% over seven days, with 83% of liquidations coming from longs, far exceeding the 58% median in similar past phases. Long leverage was systematically cleared, yet below 2319 there remains $703 million in long liquidation pressure, and above 2548 short liquidations reach as high as $1.264 billion. Both sides are mines.
Which observation is more supported? After long liquidation cascades, positions are transferring from high-leverage gamblers. This is not a trend reversal but a position reshuffle.
Keep an eye on 2319. If it holds, conditions for a short squeeze will start to build. Who was the one who got lifted at the last second in that $11.99 million liquidation? $ETH #TSMC Q3 revenue hits record high, profit performance to be revealed $PONS challenges turning 100u into 10,000u

Whales hold large long positions, but the market is filled with many small and medium short sellers, and combined, the total short capital slightly leads.
In this structure, if the $BTC market stops falling, its rebound potential will be stronger than $LAB; but if BTC continues to decline, coins that surged earlier will also experience sharp drops.
#美国CPI超预期升至3.7%,今晚PPI再迎考验 #特斯拉交付超预期后盈利修复成焦点 BTC fell below 81,000, with over $1 billion in leverage liquidated in one click.
What happened? BTC dropped from above 84,000 to 80,241, with 166,769 people liquidated in 24 hours, totaling $1.16 billion, of which longs accounted for $1 billion — almost all long positions were wiped out. ETH was even worse, with $324 million liquidated in 24 hours, more than BTC's $240 million.
Why is this worth attention? Long positions accounted for 87%, this is not shorts actively attacking, but longs trampling themselves. Short-term holders transferred over 50,000 BTC to exchanges within 24 hours, 59% of which were transferred at a loss, the largest in nearly four months. The largest buy order cluster on Binance is absorbing at 81,000-81,250.
Which observation is more supported? This is a passive deleveraging of leveraged longs, not a confirmed trend reversal. Money is moving from weak hands to strong hands.
Watch if the buy orders at 81,250 can hold. If they hold, the loss-induced selling pressure from short-term holders can be absorbed.
Are the 50,000 BTC transferred at a loss to exchanges due to panic or positioning? $BTC #TSMCOct15Earnings TSMC's revenue record was known in the market before October 15. When the same matter is treated as surprising good news on the financial report day, the timing might be a step late.
The company announced on October 8 that September revenue rose by 54.6% year-over-year and fell by 0.6% month-over-month. This variation is interesting: strong long-term growth does not necessarily mean every month is higher than the previous one. Minor monthly changes are not enough to conclude the demand for AI as a whole.
After the advance disclosure of monthly revenue, BTC dropped directly from above 84,000 to 80,241 today, currently at 81,204, down 2.76% in 24 hours, with the 1-minute MACD showing a death cross below the zero line.
What happened? The US September CPI year-on-year was 3.7%, core CPI 2.6%, both exceeding expectations. The probability of a rate hike in October surged from 22% to over 44%, the 10-year US Treasury yield shot up to 5.3%, and the dollar approached 103. As a non-interest-bearing asset, BTC was directly pressured down by the high interest rate expectations.
Why is this worth attention? But there is a divergence in capital flow. On October 13, ETFs just had a net inflow of 176 million, and BlackRock's IBIT single-day inflow was 209 million. Whale holdings also rose to 3.03 million coins, hitting an 11-month high, with a 30-day growth rate the fastest since February. On one hand, macro is dumping, on the other, big money is buying; however, Coinbase premium index fell to the lowest since July, indicating US institutional buying is withdrawing.
Which observation is more supported? The macro bearish driver is a deleveraging of long positions, not a confirmed trend reversal. There is support around 80,241, but volume did not expand, indicating a weak balance after an event-driven sharp drop.
Watch the 80,000 round number and whether ETF funds continue to flow in tonight. If 80,000 holds and ETFs continue inflows, conditions for a short squeeze are accumulating.
That 377 million USD whale transfer dormant for 6 years is still pending on-chain. $BTC #台积电Q3营收创新高,盈利表现待揭晓 TSMC's Q3 revenue reached approximately 1.49 trillion New Taiwan Dollars (about 46.7 billion USD), a year-on-year increase of about 50%. This not only set a historical record but also exceeded the company's own guidance upper limit of 44.6–45.8 billion USD and the market consensus of 1.46 trillion, demonstrating strong substance. The core driver is the continued surge in AI computing power demand, with strong orders for advanced processes from customers like Nvidia and Apple, combined with new smartphone inventory buildup, indicating that the AI capital expenditure wave has not yet peaked. However, revenue is already clear; the market focus shifts to the profit quality in the October 15 financial report: the gross margin guidance of 65%–67% is a slight decline from Q2's 67.7%, with overseas factory construction and 2nm mass production ramp-up potentially diluting profits. What truly determines the stock price direction is the Q4 guidance, whether capital expenditure will be increased, and the visibility of AI orders in 2027. If the guidance only meets expectations, the high valuation might instead trigger profit-taking.$XRP is bearish, down 4.58% in 24 hours, with no signs of a bottom yet. This round is a process of long leverage being squeezed out. Long positions were forcibly liquidated for $5.84 million, while shorts only $200,000; during the decline, almost no shorts were forced to cover, and the price dropped along with long stop losses. The rebound volume contraction matches this, as the liquidated longs did not return, and new entries are thin. The funding rate just turned negative, but this is only background information and not used to judge direction. The current price of 1.3074 is not far from the intraday low of 1.2831 and is close to the previous low. The long stop losses in this area were already swept in the previous round, with the remaining stops hanging below the previous low; once broken, they will trigger in a chain reaction, making a new low highly probable. Conditions for a bullish reversal: the price must reclaim and hold above the intraday high of 1.3863, indicating the squeeze is over and new funds are willing to take over; otherwise, this judgment is invalid.ETH spiked down to 2318, dropping 5.69% in 24 hours, currently at 2364.
What happened? ETH crashed straight through 2400 from the 2529 high, bottoming at 2318. After a 1-minute spike, it quickly recovered, leaving a long lower shadow.
Why is this worth attention? This isn’t just a simple drop—during the same period, ETFs have seen outflows for 10 consecutive trading days, withdrawing $700-800 million since late September. But on October 13, ETFs suddenly turned to a net inflow of 24.8 million, with Grayscale supporting. On one side, institutions are stopping losses and returning funds; on the other, a whale is putting real selling pressure by depositing 18,000 ETH to the exchange. More critically, below 2319 there is $703 million in long liquidation pressure, while above 2548 short liquidations reach $1.264 billion—both bulls and bears are under intense pressure.
Which observation is more supported? The quick recovery after the spike indicates support around 2318, but volume did not increase. This looks more like weak consolidation after deleveraging, not a trend reversal.
Next, watch two levels: whether 2319 holds, and whether ETF funds can sustain net inflows for two consecutive days. If it holds and funds keep coming back, shorts will be squeezed.
Whales are selling, institutions are buying—who is taking that 18,000 ETH? $ETH Bitcoin capital flow suddenly reversed, but one data point doesn't add up
Last week, spot BTC ETF saw a net outflow of $681 million, the worst in four months. However, on October 13 alone, there was a net inflow of $175.7 million, a direct reversal. Coincidentally, on-chain monitoring detected a giant whale buying 1,162 BTC through Wintermute, worth $96.77 million.
What happened? ETF funds quickly shifted from heavy outflows to strong inflows, accompanied by large on-chain purchases.
Why is this worth attention? Money is coming back, but leveraged traders are increasing their short positions—BTC's eight-hour funding rate has dropped to -0.0044%, with shorts paying longs, marking a nine-month low. Yet, the Fear & Greed Index remains in the greedy range of 55-63. On one side, capital is returning; on the other, derivatives are betting on a decline, while sentiment remains heated.
Which observation is more supported? This divergence usually means the derivatives market has priced in selling pressure not yet fully reflected in the spot market, rather than confirming a trend. Funds have returned, but fewer are willing to leverage up; this looks more like a probing phase after position clearing.
Next, watch $81,000. If it holds and the negative funding rate persists, conditions for short covering will gradually build; if it breaks, the negative funding rate is just confirming what the price has already indicated.
After large buy orders, who is selling? $BTC Gross margin guidance in the range of 65%–67% indicates very high operational efficiency and pricing power of TSMC as the market leader in chip manufacturing
#TSMCOct15Earnings Kraken's parent company Payward officially announced the acquisition of Lithuania's Saldo Bank (pending regulatory approval, expected to close in 2027) — the first time in crypto history that a crypto company has acquired a European banking license in reverse. Deposits, loans, credit cards, and euro payments are all integrated, allowing customers to use crypto as collateral to borrow money without selling their coins. Yesterday, banks were lining up to open crypto channels; today, a crypto company simply bought the bank: in this war, offense and defense have switched roles. Today's lunch menu: The Big Three set meal, the last lunch before PPI🍽️
Appetizer: BTC cold cucumber salad. 81602 (-2.51%), fee rate 0.0058%, open interest 52.4 billion. Despite the drop, the bulls haven't skipped paying a penny in fees—$198 million liquidated in 24 hours, mostly long positions. I took a bite: cold, chilling to the bone, even my teeth hurt.
Main course: ETH braised large intestine. 2384 (-5.11%), fee rate 0.0029% still positive, open interest 30.3 billion, liquidations $288 million even more than BTC. Down 5% and still paying to go long, these bulls really don't give up. But I noticed: Binance's ETH fee rate has turned negative at -0.0013%. Smart money at big exchanges is turning, while retail at smaller exchanges is still averaging down. This dish is all about the phrase "dead bulls."
Side dish: SOL garlic vermicelli. 102.99 (-3.95%), fee rate 0.0077% highest in the market, open interest 6.69 billion, liquidations $31.61 million with 92% longs. Fell less than BTC but paid more fees than anyone—SOL bulls are the most devout believers.
My takeaway: All three giants have positive fee rates, indicating bulls aren't dead yet; but Binance ETH fee turned negative, SOL longs liquidated 92%, smart money is exiting, retail is holding on. Before the PPI release at 20:30 tonight, no adding positions, control your hands. BTC breaking 81000 looks at 80000, ETH 2350 is the bottom line, SOL 100 is the lifeline.
Waiter, the bill please! Of course, during an expansion cycle flooded with liquidity, the more useless and harder to price something is, the higher it can be driven up; Wang Ning's POPMART follows this logic. But now that the interest rate hike cycle has just begun, POPMART has also come down from its high, so it's better to wait and see.
If the US really enters a recession and China enters deflation, then cash will become king. However, I don't think it will be that pessimistic; this wave still belongs to a normal correction after a high rise. Let's wait for APEC and G20 later.#HBM4 mass production: Can it drive SK Hynix's profits to new highs again? 【BTC Falls Below $81,000, Don't Rush to Call the Bottom, Even Macro Factors Are Adding Pressure This Time】
$BTC has dropped below $81,000, and it's not just the candlestick chart looking bad anymore. The South Korean stock market is plummeting, the Nikkei is sharply down, and U.S. tech stocks are continuously retreating—risk assets are all taking hits together.
The U.S. September CPI came in higher than expected, bringing back fears of interest rate hikes. The liquidity once hoped to come from rate cuts now needs to be reconsidered.
What’s even more disheartening is that on October 13, the U.S. spot BTC ETF still saw a net inflow of $176 million, yet BTC couldn’t hold steady. The presence of funds buying the dip doesn’t mean the buying pressure is strong enough, nor does it mean the selling pressure has ended.
There’s no need to rush to guess the bottom now. First, watch if the $80,000 level can hold and whether ETFs continue to see inflows. If BTC recovers above $81,000 and spot funds keep warming up, this might just be a leverage liquidation; but if U.S. stocks keep falling and funds flow out again, $80,000 might not be a solid bottom.#韩股盘中跌近8%,全球科技股集体承压
This morning's plunge ultimately sent "Big Brother Maji" and a bunch of leveraged longs packing. BTC spiked just above 80,000, triggering $485 million in liquidations across the network within an hour, with longs liquidated for $464 million, ETH alone accounting for $200 million.
Huang Licheng rolled 56,000 up to 12.25 million in 4 months, but this wave of liquidation knocked him back to 21,800, basically wasting half a year of effort and even losing money. There's also a whale holding 352 million ETH longs now facing an unrealized loss close to 19 million, with only $60 left before liquidation—any further drop will trigger a precise blowout.
This is BTC's third time testing the 81,000 level, and the losses from each dip are actually decreasing, indicating panic selling is subsiding. More so, it's swing traders cutting losses and exiting rather than a full-blown crash. On the macro side, US inflation exceeding expectations is weighing on risk assets, but the crypto market's repeated support tests look more like clearing out floating chips to prepare for the next rally.
As for altcoins, no need to mention—ETH has dropped below 2,400, and smaller coins are bleeding heavily. But it's precisely at times like this that you need to focus on projects with real narratives and capital attention, rather than blindly bottom-fishing junk coins.
Now is definitely not the time to short; the 80,000 level has been tested three times. A break would mean a real crash, while holding means a fakeout. It's recommended to wait for stabilization signals, such as a strong bullish candle reclaiming 81,000 with volume, before considering scaling into longs. Keep positions light, as macro pressure remains. $ETH $BTC has dropped to around 80,000. Does this really count as a drop below value?
But if you look closely at the market, this correction is not an ordinary technical adjustment—CPI exceeded expectations at 3.7%, the Fed's rate cut expectations have been directly postponed, US Treasury yields are pressuring risk assets upward, and the macro environment of the crypto market has quietly changed.
The biggest contradiction now is: on one hand, ETFs are still maintaining net inflows, while on the other hand, nearly $940 million has been liquidated across the network in 24 hours, with long liquidations making up the vast majority. Buying depth is rapidly shrinking; previous support levels have turned directly into resistance. The ETH/BTC exchange rate is bottom searching, and around 2200 there is still a large amount of DeFi leveraged positions not yet liquidated.
The market is not lacking positive news, but rather sufficient liquidity to absorb it. Before seeing volume contraction and a clear end to selling pressure, rushing to bottom-fish is essentially catching a falling knife in a liquidity vacuum.
Instead of guessing the bottom, it's better to wait for the market to wash out the last batch of high-leverage longs. The true consensus bottom is never something you can snatch prematurely.
#美国CPI超预期升至3.7%,今晚PPI再迎考验 #USCPI3.7%PPIInFocus US September CPI YoY rises to 3.7%, core inflation exceeds expectations
That line last night fooled a lot of people.
The moment CPI was released, it pulled up, many took it as a sign that the bad news was over and chased in, but the bears smashed down from above, crashing all the way until morning.
The four-hour chart shows clearly: BTC dropped from 84,100 to 81,300; ETH hit the 2,400 door from 2,530; SNDK was the worst, down nearly 9% in a single day. Moving averages are in a bearish alignment, the descending channel is intact, the direction hasn't changed.
The one-hour chart is now sideways at a low level. I don't consider this a bottom. It's just a breather after the drop, volume hasn't picked up—if real bottom-fishing money came in, the rebound wouldn't be this weak.
The strategy is simple: short on rebounds, don't chase on drops.
$BTC short around 82,600–82,900, first target 81,200–81,500, if 81,000 breaks then the next support is at 80,000.
$ETH short at 2,455–2,475, target 2,390–2,405. It's even weaker than BTC; if 2,400 doesn't hold, look down to 2,329.
$SNDK short at 1,405–1,425, target 1,345–1,360. After a 9% single-day drop, rebounds are most likely to deceive.
The initiative is in the bears' hands, don't fight them.
*The above is personal analysis only and does not constitute investment advice*#bastion pressures skyai over sol sales
[Old Leek Observation] Holding over 2 million $SOL, now only about 600,000 left! Major shareholder Bastion begins questioning SkyAI: Where exactly did the coins go?
This matter is more worth pondering than just a whale selling coins. SkyAI previously emphasized its Solana reserve strategy, disclosing in mid-September that it held over 2 million SOL. But in the latest document on October 13, the company revealed remaining holdings of about 600,000, a reduction of roughly 70% in about a month.
The question arises: SkyAI said it sold about 1 million SOL earlier, but subsequent documents show holdings further dropped to about 600,000. When was the remaining difference sold, at what price, and where did the funds go? Public information has not provided a complete explanation.
Bastion, holding about 9.99% of SkyAI shares, has therefore challenged: demanding disclosure of transaction details, restructuring the board, and raising the $3 per share buyback offer to at least $3.50. Bastion states it will not participate in this buyback offer until the issues are resolved.
The most noteworthy aspect of this for SOL is that the corporate coin hoarding logic is being tested. If the company buys coins for long-term holding but sells large amounts of SOL to repurchase its own stock, investors must reassess whether it is managing crypto asset reserves or adjusting its capital structure.#Korean stocks fell nearly 8% intraday, global tech stocks collectively under pressure
[Korean stocks are almost hitting the limit down, and the AI table is starting to settle accounts]
South Korea's KOSPI fell nearly 8% intraday, the Nikkei dropped over 4%, and the Philadelphia Semiconductor Index has declined for six consecutive trading days. This is not just a single chip company blowing up; funds are retreating together. Samsung $SAMSUNG and SK Hynix $SKHYNIX, core players in the AI industry chain, can't hold up, indicating the market's doubts go beyond just whether stock prices are expensive.
Foreign investors in South Korea net sold about $2.15 billion in one day, and semiconductor stocks fell significantly more than the broader market.
This issue is no longer just about the Federal Reserve possibly raising interest rates: AI servers and storage chips are expanding production, but financing costs are rising, and competition among Chinese memory manufacturers is intensifying. Money is starting to ask: how much of these investments can actually be recouped?
Crypto shouldn't rush to be a safe haven either. The Nasdaq fell 1.88%, the Philadelphia Semiconductor Index dropped 4.3%, and when risk appetite contracts, BTC may also be sold off.
However, a decline in tech stocks does not mean the AI rally is completely over; TSMC's earnings report is the key test of whether demand is lagging.
What we are trading now is high valuations meeting high interest rates, so short-term risk contraction is the first consideration. If TSMC's performance and capital expenditures remain strong, it may just be a valuation bubble being squeezed; if orders and profit expectations also start to be revised downward, then this is not a story you can just buy after the drop. Why coins that "remain unmoved" during a major market crash aren't necessarily strong?
When I first learned to read relative strength, I especially liked to find coins that resist falling.
If BTC drops 10%, other altcoins drop 30%, and it only drops 3%, I would think there must be big money supporting it behind the scenes.
Later, after some pitfalls, I realized there are two types of resistance to falling: one is that someone keeps buying, the other is that no one is trading at all.
I once bought a small coin that barely moved during a market crash; its order book looked as stable as a fixed sea-calming needle.
I thought funds were accumulating against the trend, but when the market slightly recovered and other coins started to rebound, it still had no trades. When a few big holders finally sold, the thin buy orders were instantly crushed, and one candlestick wiped out several days' worth of losses for others.
There are also some low-liquidity projects with highly concentrated holdings; the price doesn't fall simply because the main holders haven't sold yet. This kind of stability is not market recognition but risk that hasn't been realized. Once unlocked, market makers withdraw orders, or big holders transfer coins to exchanges, the past "resistance to falling" can turn into a liquidity gap.
To judge strength or weakness, you can't just look at the drop percentage; you also need to see if trading is active, whether there is active buying in the spot market, if it can lead new highs during rebounds, and whether this performance can endure multiple adjustments.
Remember: true strength means it doesn't fall even when someone sells; stability created without trades is not resistance to falling, it's just risk that hasn't found a price yet. #美国CPI超预期升至3.7%,今晚PPI再迎考验 #台积电Q3营收创新高,盈利表现待揭晓
Key points on TSMC's Q3 profitability are as follows:
Strong certainty of high growth: The market expects Q3 net profit to increase by 65% year-on-year to NT$746.3 billion, with a very high probability of setting a new historical high, continuing the trend of positive profit growth for 11 consecutive quarters.
Profit growth outpaces revenue: This quarter's revenue increased by 50% year-on-year, with profit growth exceeding revenue growth by 15 percentage points. This is mainly driven by AI orders boosting the share of high value-added customized foundry business, enhancing profit quality.
Short-term slight pressure on profit margins: Due to the dilution effect of ramp-up costs for the 2nm process, the company guides a gross margin of 65%-67% and an operating margin of 56%-58% for this quarter, slightly lower than Q2. Institutions expect actual figures to be close to the upper end of the guidance.
Long-term cost variables remain: After a cumulative capital expenditure of US$265 billion on overseas fabs, amortization will be spread over the years, potentially slowly squeezing future profit margins. This is the core long-term profitability focus of this earnings report.#美国CPI超预期升至3.7%,今晚PPI再迎考验
US stock market analysis: CPI exploded, rate hike bets doubled, AI leveraged stocks crash first as a warning
As soon as last night's CPI data came out, the market immediately turned sour. September CPI year-on-year surged to 3.7%, core CPI month-on-month 0.3%, all exceeding expectations. Traders instantly raised the probability of an October rate hike from 22% to 49%, and the chance of at least one hike before year-end soared to 95%.
The asset reaction was direct: The US dollar index jumped to 102.75, hitting an 18-month high; the 10-year US Treasury yield surged back above 5.3%; gold and Bitcoin both came under pressure and fell. On the oil side, gasoline rose 7.1%, the energy index overall climbed 5.2%, becoming the biggest driver of inflation.
The hardest hit in the stock market were the highly leveraged AI stocks. Oracle fell 7.8%, CoreWeave plummeted over 11%—this company's bond yields have already shot above 15%, with the market pricing in its inability to hold up. AI server manufacturers Dell and HP were also downgraded by Barclays, falling 11.5% and 7.8% respectively.
Chip stocks were even worse, with the Philadelphia Semiconductor Index hitting a six-day losing streak. Nvidia, AMD, and Micron all declined across the board; CoreWeave’s dual stock and bond sell-off exposed the fragility of the entire AI infrastructure financing chain.
In summary: Inflation is stickier than expected, energy is permeating core services, and rate hike expectations cannot be suppressed in the short term. Highly leveraged AI concept stocks built on debt are the most dangerous.$XAU - $BTC - Why did both plummet sharply after the news release?
Today, three economic news items were rated three stars, with two indicators exceeding expectations. I believe the sharp decline continuing until now may be due to a combination of the following three factors:
1. News boosting the US dollar:
Better-than-expected data intensified market concerns that the Federal Reserve will maintain high interest rates for a long time. A stronger dollar and rising yields put pressure on gold, the Nasdaq index, and Bitcoin.
2. Investors reducing risk:
When interest rate expectations change, funds may flow out of assets sensitive to rates and risk. This is one reason why all three assets were sold off.
3. Semi-amplification:
When prices break support levels, stop-loss and close-out buy orders may trigger further sell orders, causing prices to continue falling sharply even after the news has been released.
News may trigger the decline, macroeconomic expectations may pressure the market, and order flow may exacerbate the drop.
My view is that it is still too early to conclude that institutional investors are selling simultaneously, as there is no data on their holdings yet. Which factor do you lean towards most? ONDO: Why is the RWA sector benchmark considered "not worth a single share" in the eyes of smart money?
When the flagship project ONDO in the Real World Assets (RWA) sector fell below the $0.45 mark, even the smart money best at capturing fundamental improvements was unwilling to build positions. The market is questioning in the coldest way: Has the tokenized government bond business model really been proven?
From the data perspective, ONDO is currently priced at $0.4456, with a market cap of $2.17 billion, a 24-hour drop of 4.36% hitting a recent high, and volatility exceeding 7%. A daily trading volume of $9.27 million corresponds to about a 0.43% turnover rate, indicating extremely thin liquidity—an institutional-grade asset allocation target should enjoy premium liquidity, but in practice, it is even worse than mid-sized altcoins. The price has been sliding unilaterally within the $0.4417-$0.4749 range, with bulls completely losing ground.
Smart money delivers the most direct verdict: net short, net position zero, and zero long traders. Even hedge funds most optimistic about the long-term logic of RWA cannot calculate a positive risk-adjusted return under the current interest rate environment—high U.S. Treasury yields, inverted on-chain yields, and unrelieved token unlocking pressure create triple suppression, making staying out the only rational choice.
Core judgment: ONDO is experiencing a combined decline due to fundamental realization and liquidity exhaustion. Unless the Federal Reserve begins a rate cut cycle that drives on-chain yields to surpass, it will continue to bottom out.#台积电Q3营收创新高,盈利表现待揭晓
This earnings season, TSMC is quite an interesting case. The early release of Q3 revenue truly set a new historical record, with a year-over-year increase of 50%, and the data is genuinely impressive.
But here's the interesting part: after the news came out, the stock price actually dropped a bit. Simply put, the market had already anticipated that AI orders would push revenue up, so now everyone isn’t focused on how much product was sold; their attention is fully on the profits.
High revenue doesn’t mean everything is perfect. Right now, everyone is watching whether the gross margin can hold steady in the 65–67% range, along with the business outlook for Q4.
The short-term stock price decline is more about risk aversion after good news has been priced in, so it’s not necessarily a bearish signal. The real demand for AI chips is still in hand. However, there won’t be any more blind hype; good revenue is just a ticket to the game. Whether they can actually make money will be answered by the full earnings report tonight. Whether the stock can continue to strengthen depends on if profits can keep pace with revenue.#solana is scheduled for the Alpenglow upgrade on October 21
[Old Leek Observation] $SOL will undergo a core upgrade next week: confirmation time targeted at 150 milliseconds
Solana official has scheduled the Alpenglow mainnet switch for October 21. This is not an ordinary parameter adjustment but a replacement of the long-running TowerBFT with the new Votor consensus mechanism.
Currently, Solana's transaction finality takes about 12.8 seconds; the new mechanism aims to reduce this to around 150 milliseconds. Simply put, the goal is to make transactions reach an irreversible state faster, which has potential value for high-frequency trading, on-chain transaction applications, and scenarios requiring rapid settlement.
First, 150 milliseconds is the target, not a guarantee that the mainnet will stably achieve this under all network conditions immediately after launch.
Second, the new mechanism will move validator voting out of regular transaction blocks, so the number of transactions displayed on-chain may change after the upgrade. One should not judge Solana's user activity solely by the rise or fall in transaction count.
Third, SOL's price will also depend on whether the market has already priced in the expectations. If there was a price increase before the upgrade, profit-taking might occur at the official switch; if the upgrade is successfully implemented, actual performance improves, and capital continues to flow in, the technical advantage has a better chance to translate into sustained demand.
My judgment: this is a clear technical catalyst but not an unconditional bullish signal
